The beauty of not worrying

We came back from Florida last Friday and we had an amazing time!  I'll be sharing more photos from our vacation in the future.... get ready for #pictureoverload ;)

I wanted to share these photos first because I felt led to speak about worry. It is something every person deals with from time to time.

Jesus says "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store  away in barns, and yet our heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
 -Matthew 6:26-27

We went to the beach almost every day. It was so peaceful and beautiful with the breeze flowing past us, the sound of the waves crashing, seeing my kids enjoying themselves walking on the soft sand and looking out into the ocean. Breathtaking.

The kids enjoyed the birds a lot. We had pretzels for a snack and the kids loved feeding the birds. My Dad even held up a pretzel and the birds would snatch it from his hold. They would gather around waiting for some more. Troy ended up dumping almost the whole bag out for them. He's generous ;).

It really made me think about :worry: seeing the birds without a care. They don't worry about tomorrow let alone their next meal. God cares for them. And HOW MUCH MORE does he care about His children? He loves us with an everlasting love. There is nothing we can do to make God love us anymore. Isn't that a powerful statement? Of course, we want to be obedient and Christ like but how encouraging to know that He loves us just as we are. We don't need to worry about tomorrow or the future. Trust in God and He will direct our path.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. " -Matthew 6:33-34
