Favorite things

Friday is here!

And I'm linking up with...

Momfessionals

Here are some of my favorite things lately...

1.) I'm really loving this Women of Faith Bible study on "Overcoming Worry." It has really been comforting and amazing! One of my favorite things is doing my devotion while drinking some good coffee in the morning.

Check it out HERE if you'd like to order it.

2.) I am smitten with these Randy tees from LuLaRoe clothing. I had a party recently and love the clothing I was able to earn and purchase. The material is super soft and comfortable. I wash mine in cold water with other like items and air dry. They wear so well time after time. I also love my skirts and dresses from their line. The large selection of unique patterns is unbelievable. This particular pattern below is one of my faves! Timeless!

Check them out at Lularoebyhannahlarowe & Lularoebymeganlillion on Instagram and Facebook. You won't regret it! :) And if you're in the area you could book a fun party that is open house style and it'll seriously rock! :)

3.) This book right here I got from my sweet friend for my birthday. Just finished it and I really really enjoyed it! How sad to think that back in the 1920's some children were adopted for the work they can provide. Such a beautiful & raw story. Now I'm looking for a new book to get started on.

What are some of your favorite things lately?

Summertime so far '15

This has been my very favorite summer thus far. I don't know if it's because the kiddos are getting older but it's been extremely fun!

Just before school was out for Austin we went fishing. He caught this nice bass and was beyond excited. You can check out his video HERE on youtube. And he is the one who wanted his fishing video on youtube. He loves watching fishing videos on there and wants to put all sorts of fishing videos on there. His passion for fishing is fierce and I couldn't be more proud of the patient and persistent fisherman he is.

When Troy was done with PreK for the year we celebrated together. We went to the park just the 2 of us. And he climbed all the way to the top of this rope tree! Yay, what an accomplishment.

We had yummy Subway for lunch and took a selfie :).

Daddy and Austin have been doing some target practicing with their bows.
I absolutely love watching them!

The boys have been in soccer and it sure has been a blast watching them play.
 Austin is really enjoying it!

They also did football camp. How cute are they?! Those were some hot days but oh so fun!

The kids picked me some beautiful wildflowers. I love flowers! Especially when my kids pick them for me!

We went to the park/river while waiting for my oil change. And the boys decided to do a little fishing. It was such a beautiful day.

And we did a little water fun in the backyard and bike rides almost daily. And so much more fun to be had.

Loving this summertime!

A Whole New Perception

The other morning I was driving solo in the morning with a lot on my busy mind. I was thinking about the future (and worrying) and giving it to God in prayer.

I found myself looking out the window and started seeing the telephone poles in a whole new light!

A perfect and beautiful cross was what I started seeing while gazing at them. My whole perception changed about my thoughts on the future in that moment.

I heard God's voice telling me something new with each passing of the telephone poles. And from this simple photo below you can see in the distance that they just keep on going.

I love you!...

I died on the cross for you!...

Do not worry!...

I have a plan!...

You are mine!...

Don't ever forget it....

My mind went instantly to Christ dying on the cross for all of us. He didn't do that years ago for us to forget the true meaning behind it. But I know it's because He loves us so much and wanted to die for our sins so we didn't have to and wants us to forever remember.

It's mind-boggling to know that. But He knew the future and what it would hold. And He STILL knows the future and what it holds for each of us. Therefore, not a thing will change by us worrying about the future. But with our trust in God, peace will come. And how beautiful that is.

And those cross shaped telephone poles went on & on & on. Just like God's love goes on & on & on for you!

And to this day I will never look at one the same as before. I hope the next time you see a telephone pole that you will be reminded on God's love for you!

"Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge."
