Friday Favorites #3

Friday Favorites is here and I couldn't be happier to share 4 of mine.

I'm linking up again with these fabulous ladies:
for Friday Favorites.

1.) This tablecloth. Is fab! It's from Walmart
Here's my dining room table with some beautiful roses :)!

It is bright and beautiful. I actually saw it at Walmart a couple times but talked myself out of purchasing it because I maybe didn't *need* it. But I'm so glad I finally talked myself into it. It really brightens up the table!

2.) This favorite is something simple yet very practical!
Kid's toothbrushes that stand up by themselves. Yay!

I love it!
It is sometimes hard for me to get all of the families toothbrushes to fit in the holder without their bristles touching. Because I just don't like that. So, these are perfecto! I found mine at our local Walmart but I can't find them online to link to. Sorry!

3.) This scent From Bath & Body Works reminds me of the beach. It is light in scent and smells super good! You will smell super summery!

Get it HERE. It's on sale by the way!

4.) Running while listening to praise and worship music is one of my very favorite things to do! While running, I talk & pray to God while running on the ground He created. And I'm able to gaze at the gorgeous sky, trees, ponds, world He has made. It's a wonderful experience.

What are some of your favorite things? I'd love to hear!

Have a lovely Friday!

I LOVE Chalkboards!

Chalkboards are my favorite form of decoration!

Really & Truly!

Earlier this year my friend and I went to Goodwill and I bought a bunch of frames! I wasn't exactly sure what my plan would be but I thought they looked like nice n' sturdy frames...at a decent price.

I saw BIG potential in this frame right here. I actually had it hanging in my bathroom for awhile until I had time to change it up. You know, to cover the blank wall :) (even though it's not my taste).

I used some blue tape to cover the outer frame. I bought some chalkboard spray paint and went to town spray painting! I did 2 coats.

I bought this kind from Walmart HERE. It works great!

Be careful, the spray paint really stains your hands. True story. :)

I also bought some blue-gray spray paint to do the frame. And then, I decided what to write on my new frame.

I also used the spray paint color to paint the other 2 frames I bought from the Goodwill. They were all gold and didn't really go with my vision for the bathroom. They are not *perfect* but I LOVE them! :)

Here are some of my other chalkboards I've made...

I love to look at them during the day as a reminder to myself. I also believe that my kiddos will be able to read them and memorize Bible verses from these frames some day.

This one was actually made with a chalkboard sticker over cardboard. Therefore, it is very difficult to write with chalk because the surface isn't as hard. But it still works :)!

I've been looking to purchase these chalkboard markers HERE. They look fun.

God Bless,

Jamie :)

Inspirational Monday #2

This past weekend was so great filled with family and friends!

We're so grateful and blessed.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend as well!

A couple of weeks ago we went to Target for some shopping. Troy boy was running down the halls, letting loose some of his energy :)! It was all fine until he tripped over the wheels of the cart and fell on the bottom of a clothing rack. There was a blunt edge that he fell face first onto. He was crying and I picked him up in a panic to see where he was  hurt. I noticed on his forehead a couple inches above his eyebrow was a puncture wound. It was probably 1 cm wide and 1 cm deep. I could see inside the little hole as it was bleeding. I was SO worried for him. There I was at Target, alone with the kiddos. I quickly put a baby wipe on the wound to stop the bleeding and found some band aids. To my relief it had stopped bleeding so I just tightly placed the band aids. Austin then said, "At least it wasn't his EYE!"

Absolutely, Austin! :)

In that moment, my eyes teared up. I told him that was so true and then I gave thanks to our marvelous God. It could have been so much worse. If he would've fallen a couple inches more forward, that puncture would've been on his eye.
And that would've been terrible.

We quickly checked out and I called the clinic in town to see if they had any same day appointments because I knew he'd need at least stitches. They didn't but the Nurse was going to see if they could maybe fit him in when we got there. On the way, Troy fell asleep. He was so exhausted. I was praying that he would be fine. When we arrived at the clinic, I had to wake him up but thankfully he was in good spirits. When we got there, the Nurse came to see Troy. She spoke with a Doctor and thankfully he was able to fit him in! Otherwise, we would've just went to the ED. He was so sweet to my little boy whom I was so concerned about. And Troy was a total trooper, he layed perfectly still while the Doctor fixed up his battle wound.

 I am completely grateful!

Friday Favorites #2

Happy AUGUST 1st everybody!

 WOW! I can't even believe I'm typing that :).

Next month my 6 year old will be in the First grade....and I'll be crying. But, I'll put on my brave Mommy face for him so he isn't nervous! :) That's what I did last year when he started Kindergarten. We found out his teacher and were super excited to get all the info. And Troy will be going to preschool 3 days a week!

We are going to soak up every ounce left of summer!!

Onto my Friday Favorites, which is a bit random again :)!

Momfessionals

1.) This top from American Eagle Outfitters is one of my very favorites! I don't usually go for white clothing but I'm glad I went for this. I love it. I paired it with some destructed skinny jeans and heels. It also is very reasonably priced.

Check it out HERE

2.) So, I kinda got hooked on "The Bachelorette" recently. I was excited to watch the Finale. I just knew that Josh and Andi would end up being together. They just look like a beautiful couple. And from what I've seen online, Josh has faith, so that's great!
But I totally laughed out loud when Chris had the "grumpy cat" brought out at later in the show. This was because Andi makes a frown often. It was too funny, really! Click HERE if you want to see the official website for this cat. :)

Here's a picture I took. See her holding the cat?

3.) Exciting mail right here! One of my besties, Crystal, is a photography. And she does amazing work! :) Plus she has a heart of pure gold.

She just took family photos for us and I absolutely love them so much!! One of the family photos will definitely be getting itself on a giant canvas. I can't wait! Check Crystal's Photography out HERE.

Happy August 1st to you!

True fisherboy

So, it's safe to say that my 6 year absolutely LOVES fishing! :)

It is like the cutest thing....

And the 3 year old is starting to enjoy it, also. When I was younger I have such great memories of going fishing with my Dad. I still really enjoy fishing when I get a chance. My husband enjoys fishing as well and always has. No doubt about it in my mind that my husband and these boys will have fun fishing trips together.

I'm extremely happy about this great hobby of his.

To think that a couple of years ago this boy was all. about. Batman.

Look at that happy face. Here's Austin with the first fish he caught by casting! He was so SO proud and we were so proud of him. Austin has caught other fish by bobber fishing but he thinks that's boring because he prefers casting and reeling over and over. Not like...ahem, his mother :).

After He caught this he told the :WHOLE: story to all the grandparents. He thought it was seaweed on the line at first but then realized it was a fish and was super excited!

A actually told me that all he wants for his next birthdays is fishin tackle. One of the first things he does in the mornings is go out to the garage to check out his tackle box...to inspect it :). He is so cute!

"And He said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." --Matthew 4:19

Favorite Things Party

Hello and Happy Tuesday to you!!

I'm linking up with Erika from A Little Bit of Everything and Andrea from Momfessionals for their Favorite Things Party under $10.

I have 2 that I'll be talking about today. 2 very different things :).

1.)
My Birchbox subscription I enjoy so very much!
It is $10/monthly. And an adorable box is delivered to my mailbox every month and it is packed with  beauty samples that are different every single month. It is some fun mail to receive and for $10 it is so worth it. Check it out here. I really do use every one of the products so it's a good deal.

2.)
Jesus Calling By: Sarah Young is the next devotional I'll be ordering :) I've heard great, great things about it so I'll be excited to start reading it! I really love starting the day off with a devotional that gives specific Bible verses to read that goes along with the devotion. So good!!

Inspirational Monday #1 Having Faith

I'm going to start a new Monday series called...

Inspirational Mondays!

Inspiration on Mondays.

Yes, please! That's just what I need.

I LOVE the weekends and I do love Mondays as well but sometimes I need a little Inspiration and Motivation for my Monday. If you know what I mean.

I'm pumped about it and I think you'll enjoy it, too!

"Have faith in God, "Jesus answered. "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your sins."
-Mark 11:22-26 (NIV Busy Mom's Bible)

Powerful words right there that Jesus spoke. I read this Bible verse before work one morning and it spoke new meaning to me.

1.) Praying and believing in God.

Over the past year I have really learned to give my worries to God through prayer. I've also learned to pray for God's will to be done in certain and difficult situations. As hard as that can be I believe that His plan is so much better than mine. He has never ever let me down. And He will never ever let you down.

I am SO happy that God did not answer my prayers the way I wanted Him to when I was a young teenager. So glad! Because, I wouldn't have had this life I love now. His plan for my life is so much better than I could've ever imagine.

God has been so amazing in the good and hard times.

2.) Forgive.Forgive.Forgive.

Forgiveness can be such a difficult thing to do. But such an important thing to do so that our Father in heaven can forgive our sins.

Blessings to you on this Monday!

Jamie :)
